Friday, May 1: The U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) are investigating human cases of the Swine flu in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. There are six suspected cases of H1N1 virus in Washington State. Two of those suspected cases are from people living in Snohomish County. To limit or slow the spread of any disease, including the Swine-Origin Influenza Virus (S-OIV) please do the following: 1. Cover your cough or sneeze. 2. Be very proactive about washing your hands with soap especially after being out in public places and touching all those door handles and common surfaces that we don't usually think about. Along with this is keeping fingers away from your mouth, eyes and nose. 3. If you don't feel good - don't go to work, school, or club or social gatherings. Call your doctor and get their advice.
