The Public Works Department provides a wide variety of services to the residents of the City including:

·      Provision of potable water to over 2300 customers.

·      Maintenance and repair of 60 miles of potable water main transmission lines.

·      Operation of a class II water treatment facility.

·      Sanitary sewer maintenance of 27 miles of sewer main lines.

·      Sanitary sewer maintenance of pump stations and

·      A state of the art treatment facility capable of treating 1.5 million gallons a day in the Stanwood service areas.

·      Street and public right-of-way maintenance for 33 miles of city-maintained streets and bike/walking paths.

·      Maintenance of 27 miles of storm drain facilities .

·      Park maintenance provides care and maintenance of the city's 7 parks covering 66 acres.

·      Provide on-going maintenance of City owned facilities including the City Hall, Library, Fire Station and Police Station
