Applying for a CPL and Fees The initial application takes around 30 minutes. · You must be 21 years of age or older. · You must be a citizen of the United States. · You must live within the Stanwood area 98292 zip code, or outside the State of Washington. · You need to have picture ID (a Washington State Driver's License or ID card is preferred). Your name and address on your license must match address given on your application. · Fees may be paid by cash or checks. (Exact change is helpful) · Originals/New applications need to be fingerprinted and the fee is $55.25. · Renewals may be applied for up to 90 days before the expiration date: $32.00 · Late/Renewals may be applied for up to 90 days past the expiration date: $42.00 · Replacements (lost, address or name change, etc) : $10.00 · Signed licenses will be mailed out to the applicant. The Washington State Attorney General's website provides a list of states that have reciprocity with Washington for concealed pistol licenses. The Stanwood Police Department will issue concealed pistol licenses to out-of-state residents. You must appear in person at their department. The requirements and fees are the same as listed above.
