The Stanwood Vito Z Memorial Skate Park located in Heritage Park was given a facelift in early June 2013. In a matter of a couple of days, the city’s contractor, ARC replaced the wooden ramps with modular-style steel ramps. The new park is an open mix of elements including a Spine ramp, very cool Wedge to Flat Wedge and kinked grind rail. The Bank Ramp has a Quarter Pipe on one side, and a Euro Gap on the other. The new ramps were placed around the existing two-step concrete platform and skate rail installed by Stanwood Redi-mix and community volunteers in 2007. A small round rail on the flat finishes out this park from American Ramp Company.
Heritage Park walking trail is just shy of .5 mile.
All kinds of wild life can be spotted at the Heritage Park Bird/Wildlife Sanctuary.
